Single clove garlic is about the size of a walnut and smells of garlic, but not as strong as normal variety. General variety grows into multiple petals, but solo garlic has only one clove with white skin and some purple stripes. Compared with ordinary variety, the skin is easier to peel off, so it is often used in commercial cooking. Same as regular type, when it is cooked whole, the meat softens and can be pressed into a paste.
